Emergency again

Posted by:

Exactly two weeks after Versace’s passing, our 10-year-old male cat Trent had to be rushed to the vet after projectile-vomiting blood this morning.  Sigh.

Ms. S heard him puking up, so we took him to our regular vet, together with his female sidekick Cellini just to make sure that he didn’t get infected with something contagious.

Although Cellini got a clear bill of health, ultrasound and X-ray examination results indicated that Trent’s illness may be due to a stomach ulcer, although not conclusive at this stage.  He is staying at the vet hospital overnight, so Cellini is now all on her own…

She is happy for the time being, having been able to dominate a dish full of tinned gourmet seafood (fortunately 98% fat free, which shall help prevent her from putting on a few extra pounds!)

Not so sure as to whether she enjoys being the “only child” though, she is not very good on her own.

It is kind of weird being the only male in this house now.  For the first time ever in this abode, I am the outnumbered gender.

Hope Trent recovers smoothly and comes back home soon.  Obviously the stress caused by the sudden disappearance of Versace has had an unexpected  impact on him, as reflected in his recent unusual behavior.

Who said cats and dogs don’t get along?  In our house, we were always one big happy family.
