As you may have noticed, my partner Ms.S has joined me in contributing posts to this site.
Her incredible memory should help fill the gaps in my posts, which may be large at times due to limited space in my memory bank.
After all, Versace was a product of both of us, so her side of the story should provide a more balanced view of his life.

Today marked a full week since Versace’s passing.
I have felt his presence in the house since yesterday: I thought I heard him bark while I was cleaning up the garage downstairs, which is what he often did when I banged around and made too much noise out of his view. Perhaps what I am experiencing is similar to an amputee’s phantom limb pain.
Doing the outdoor chores is no fun without him; I power-hosed the windows and tiles in the backyard, but without my buddy around to keep me company, there are no mishaps, dramas or entertaining moments. Sigh.
Our cats are missing him too, and acting in bizarre ways: Trent (male) is sitting and sleeping in unusual places, whereas Cellini (female) is just clearly depressed without her big brother by her side. I hope their wounds will eventually heal too…
