We decided to create this site to cherish the memories of our beloved male black/rust doberman “Versace Jones”, who suddenly passed away two days ago on January 3, 2012.

Even though we had accepted since the time we adopted him as a pup that we would probably outlive him and have to say good-bye to him one day, we did not expect to suffer the impact of losing a family member/best friend/soulmate/loyal companion all at once.

We are trying to convince ourselves that the final day of his life is hardly significant compared to the +11 years of happiness that he gave us.

In writing our journey of life with him, we hope to fill the massive void that has been left as a result of his departure, heal our wounds by reminiscing the good times with him, and remind ourselves of the lessons we have learnt from the issues and challenges we faced over the past 11 years.

Although we believe we have done a lot for him (we at least tried our very best), we still feel we could have done more or done things slightly better… in hindsight, there is always room for improvement.

Hopefully, some of our experiences may provide some guidance and food for thought to current/future dobe owners.

In any case, I hope he can read this website from across rainbow bridge, so that he can boast to his fellow canine buddies what a massive (paw)mark he has left in our lives.
